Faculty Assistant, Harvard Teacher Fellows
Emily Conner-Simons

Emily graduated from Brown University in 2014 with a degree in Education Studies: History and Policy, and since graduating, has served as the Project Coordinator of a Library of Congress grant project at Brown, exploring how K-12 educators can use primary sources to teach local history. Before joining HTF, Emily taught English-language learners at the Learning Community Charter School in Central Falls, RI, and worked as the College Adviser at Excel High School in Boston, promoting a college-going culture at the school by organizing presentations, field trips, and workshops, and helping upperclassmen with every step of the application process. She is passionate about educational equity and providing all students with an excellent education, regardless of their zip code; high-quality teachers are a crucial component of an excellent education, and she is excited to support HTF faculty and fellows as they become the next generation of social justice educators.
