Teaching Residency: Physics, Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science-NYC
Grace Kossia is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, but was raised deep in the heart of Texas where she developed a love for dancing and cooking. She graduated with an A.B. in Mechanical Engineering and will be completing her first full year of teaching at The Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science in Bronx, New York. She looks forward to teaching Physics in way that makes the subject both relevant and accessible to students of all genders, races, and socioeconomic classes. As a woman of color in STEM, she especially hopes to serve as a positive role model and source of encouragement to young ladies interested in STEM subjects and careers.
