Interests: social justice, literacy, math
Gianina graduated in 2016 with a degree in History of Art and Architecture. As an undergrad, she discovered that she had a passion for education and a love for teaching. Gianina worked with the Phillips Brooks House Association's Summer Urban Program, where she taught math and literacy to five- and six-year-old students. She also worked with Edukasyon.ph, a Philippine NGO with the mission of increasing access to higher education for all Filipinos. During her residency year, she will be teaching Algebra 2 and PreCalculus at Leadership Public Schools in Oakland. Through her time with the Harvard Teacher Fellows, she hopes to develop the skills to be an excellent social justice educator in an atmosphere of growth and empathy.
