Caroline is thrilled to join the Harvard Teacher Fellows as an Algebra 1 teacher at Leadership Public Schools in Richmond, California. During the 2014-2015 academic year, Caroline participated in City Year Miami, serving in sixth- and eighth-grade math classrooms as a mentor and tutor for the lowest-performing students at Allapattah (now Georgia Jones Ayers) Middle School. This transformative year of service inspired Caroline to pursue a career in education. She looks forward to continuing the work she began with City Year by sharing her love of math with her students and fostering in them an appreciation for the subject and for the critical thinking and problem solving skills it develops. Graduating with a degree in Music, Caroline hopes to show her students that a love of math and quantitative reasoning can connect to their interests in other subjects and outside the classroom.
