Tony’s devotion to education budded during his involvement with the Mission Hill After School Program and bloomed after he spent a summer as a Senior Counselor for the Phillips Brooks House Association’s Summer Urban Program, where he taught a full range of subjects to ten and eleven year-old students. Tony’s fascination with the demands of good teaching, how it necessitates and draws out one’s potential for empathy, how it fosters and is fostered by love and ethics and connection, fuels his drive to constantly improve his craft. Tony will be teaching Humanities, a joint block class of English Language Arts and Social Studies, to sixth graders at the Urban Assembly School for Applied Math and Science.
